Recently I bought an AUG here on boards. When it was delivered to me I realised that it was posted in a Sten's box. I also saw that there were a few holes in it from where BB's were shot at it. I remember whenever I get a new AEG I normally fire a few BB's into the box as well and I remember my brother and friends doing so too. So how many of you fire a few BB's into the box after getting a new airsoft gun?

I did..until I realized the box that comes with it is probably the best way of storing your airsoft gear around the house. So I have since stopped doing that. I shoot cereal boxes instead :pac:

I assemble a group of local children and force them to run for cover while I spray wildly at them, laughing like a loon. It's ok though, because I invite the local constabulary around to help herd them into a nice group that's easier to hit ...
or maybe I just don't shoot the box anymore either.

    Might want to re-word that:p

But yeah, i think it's commone practice. The first thing, when you get a new gun, is to shoot something. And when there's a large box shaped target right in front of you, how can you not!

But, I only give it a few shots. I don't destroy it completely, because, even if not to store the guns, as I like to look at mine, I keep them in case I ever have to post them.

    Sorry, sorry, sorry JDR...
    How's this?
"force them to run for cover while I lay down accurate three round bursts taking them all out before they make it clear, all the while displaying the cool demeanor of a polished professional"
    Better?
    Sound.

Never fired at the box tbh. Anything I ever buy which comes in a box I hold on to the box just in case. Styrofoam is messy anyway, there are better materials to fire at.

I never actually thought of shooting the box I always shot a couple of empty cans first myself because the box was the best way to store it for me.

I have had this massive brown box in the shed from when my parents bought a new patio set two years ago.

I keep it in the shed to keep it dry and stuck thick layers of that snowy styrafome lark behind the cardboard so when BB's go through they just stick into the foam.

I have a bucket load of targets I made from my printer and sticky targets that I just re-apply every so often. I've a nice little side on the house that I fire down thats probably about 40-50 feet.

Its on its last legs but for 2 years its being my stress relief, and since the introduction of my WE GBB Scar, my second most spent area of the house.

(no prizes for guessing the first)
