Looking to find a mid market paper in the US that would be comparable to the Daily Mail in the UK. Also, what UK paper would the The New York Times be most comparable to ? The Times...The Guardian ?

NY Times would be The Times

Daily Mail is probably closest to the New York Post off the top of my head. Vaguely sensationalist and celebrity driven

American papers are hard to compare to UK titles, as they are essentially regional bar a couple like the NYT and Chicago Sun Times.

USA Today is thoroughly middle-market but like all US titles is basicly bland.

    Try Murdoch's New York Post.

Historically it was, now it's aimed squarely at housewives and whipping up alarmist sentiment. But I agree the Sun and NYP would have a lot in common
