Bassist looking for other musicians

    Hi there, I’m a bass player, 28, and I’m looking to get back playing music, I was wondering if there would be musicians (guitarist/singer songwriter/ even piano or keys) who would fancy jamming with me and see if we could make a few songs together. Saying that I’m not against joining an existing band. Here are some of the bands I listen often, pixies, kinks, supergrass, creedence, the police, queen, the doors, franz Ferdinand… list goes on, and I am pretty open about music genre. I’m based in Dublin northside.

    We are an original band in need of a bassist who is willing to work towards the ultimate goal - touring the continent (and beyond), playing festivals (and bigger), supporting our records, earning royalties all the while. Lots of room for creativity, yet keeping the focus of clever accessibility. Influences range from Santana and Phish to Yes and Pink Floyd. If you sing, that's a bonus but not required. We are two guitarists and a keyboardist, all singers and writers. All serious replies welcome.

    Hi,
    how are things? I just saw your ad there looking to join/form a band. Well, we are an existing band with our own material and looking for a bass player at the moment. We've been together for a good few years at this stage and I reckon we're into the same kind of music. We've just finished writing and recording a batch of new songs, when our bass player headed off to live in France, recession and all that. So we'd like someone who could learn those songs and do a few gigs ad see what happens. Obviously we wouldn't expect u to completely replicate the previous bass lines and would welcome a bit of your own creativity. We haven't got the new stuff online yet but there would be comparisons to The Cure, Placebo Sigur Ros.... Darker than our old stuff which u can listen to on myspace. We have a video on youtube aswell.

    Hasn't been updated for a while, but there's 4 songs there anyway.
    A few of these have been played on phantom.
