Warning! Voicemail on Iphone4

I'm on vodafone with an iphone4
A friend skyped me, and then sent me a text, that said I've just listened to your voice messages.

I thought, this cant be happening I set a password, so I skyped my mobile and instead of it bringing me to my voice message, you know, "your through to blah blah...", it brings me straight into my voice mail as if I'd dialled 171. So I can call an iphone4 and listen to its owners messages with no password or no effort...

I've been onto customer care, and they are aware that the system thinks a skype call is my iphone dialling 171.

While they don't yet have an answer, they suggested turning off easy retrieval (now when i want to listen to voicemail from my mobile i need to enter my password) and that should prevent the issue till they have a fix.

Not sure if its just vodafone, but scary that anybody can just call me and go straight into MY voice mail and listen to MY messages...

A network issue with caller ID as Skypeout calls can be set to appear as coming from your mobile number.
NOTHING to do with the fact an iPhone4 is used!
