    I just got a copy of this book, and have had a quick flick through it

    Might be of interest to some on here,some of the history of the CIE to IR period, lots of great photos in it :)

    the cover photo alone is stunning

    I mentioned it in another thread recently,got it myself a couple of weeks ago. Some beautiful photos in it spanning the whole diesel era and the various locos and liveries.:)
