Where to find job opportuinities at SMEs and the like..

I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on where to find job openings at SMEs and the like. I was told networking is the optimal solution but that only takes ya so far. I obviously frequent the Irish job sites but suppose its time to start thinking outside the box. Thanks

Knowing somebody will help but be realistic; few people are recruiting and all you can really do is keep plugging away like the rest of us.
