    Hey Guys

I have a super valu break booked with Rad Blu Limerick. Went on trip advisor and see mixed reviews on it. Last two reviews not recommend going. Last place we went I read reviews after break and was sorry I hadn't seen them first cause place wasn't great.
Totally mixed up now on whether to cancel or go with it. its our last break before kids back in school and wouldn't like a bad one..

    anyone any feedback please..thanks

I was only there once but it seemed nice enough, only thing is it is actually in county clare, out the dual carrageway a few miles from Limerick so walking to and from Limerick would be a no go if u had any plans on walking places

take people's reviews on tripadvisor with a pinch of salt
some of the best hotels i have stayed in have got poor reviews

Never stayed there, but the hotel is close to roundabout exit from tunnel so they were suffering from road works for few months/years.
They are all over now so should be fine. :)

Also the hotel is not in walking distance of anywhere, so you need a car.

I would say if you have it booked go for it, used to be nice hotel.

I was only there once since its been The Radisson, and it was quite nice but that was for a wedding. There isn't too much to do nearby without having to travel a bit!

I stayed there before for a Wedding and have done business there a lot. They have very high standards and the breakfasts they serve are great.

I like the Radisson in CO CLARE. Don't let them fool you into thinking there are anywhere inside the boundary of Limerick. Cheap Ryanair trick! :D

Don't worry about Tripadvisor. I always read them and see reviews about people saying the Receptionist was rude and so was the barman. I always tell myself that that person is likely the rude one. If somebody says the bed is lumpy then there are probably just nit picky.

My Sister In Law has stayed there on 3 occasions and was very happy with it.

Note: There is no access off the N18 from the tunnel side at the point where the new road merges with the old N18, you need to take the Caherdavin?Limerick city exit and headout the old road., alternatively, continue to next exit (Cratloe/Sixmilebridge) and take the flyover, rejoin the N18 inbound and you can exit at the hotel. From Galway/Shannon you can exit off the N18.

You will be only 10 minutes from Bunratty Folk park at the Radison Blu. Well worth a visit for the kids and yourself. Can easily spend half a day have something to remember.

What he said. People who are liable to complain about things are more likely to review places on sites like tripadvisor.

I worked in Hotel mgt for a few years overseas and if and when people fill in the comment slip (before internet) they invariably had some complaint. People who are happy rarely say anything.
When we did get a written compliment we pinned it on the noticeboard to inspire staff.

I worked there for a few years when it opened. Very nice place. Regarding complaints, bear in mind that when people post on trip advisor etc, a large proportion of people register only to complain. If they had a nice stay, they wouldn't bother.
While i am not sure if they still do it, I believe they used to reply to messages on trip advisor, particularly if there was a negative one, and attempt to fix the issue.
Also from when i was there, Radisson as a group had a policy called "making it right". They thought things should be right, first time, every time. If you had an issue, and they couldnt resolve it, you stayed free.
Again was years ago, so may have changed.
I'd say you will love hotel.
