I'll mention it before it's mentioned by others; the resolution is 1024 x 768. While this appears to be less than HD Ready TVs, i.e. 1366 x 768, plasma TVs with a resolution of 1024 x 768 use rectangular pixels to display content, so it means the resolution is more like 1366 x 768. More info on this subject can be found here.

I can't find much information about this TV online, bar the official Samsung site, so I recommend anyone interested should consult a review or two before taking the plunge.

That they should and remember that delivery is about 60€ so its not quite a s great a bargain as it first appears, but a good price none the less

Heres another link in English which contradicts the Croatian one on a few points. The Croatian review is very detailed and I think more accurate.http://www.avforums.com/review/Samsung-PS50C450-Review.html
However I,ve reshearched this tv and I,ve checked its performance in a few different retailers. In my opinion in SD its better than the Panasonic x20 though its blacks are slightly inferior. The new RTE MPEG4 transmissions are excellent-superior to Sky,which is also good. SKY HD is superb as is Blu ray.The LG PJ350/550 looks nicer but performance, while good, I think lags the Samsung slightly-in black level and colour rendition.
I.m almost certainly buying the Samsung PS42C450 for 499 euro in Currys Cork.
