Which FAE Elective to choose?

    What's everyone's thoughts on the new FAE electives?

    I am registering to complete FAE in 2011, and would like to know which of the following electives would be the best to choose?

    1. Auditing
    2. Performance Mgmt
    3. Taxation

    Or even any ideas on which exam would be the easier to pass would be useful, as that is really all that matters to me at the minute.

    We wont know which is the hardest until the pass rates come out for the 2010 exams November 19th.

    I imagine the pass rate will be similar in them all (i.e. pretty low) so just go for the one that interests you the most and the one you think you would be best at.

    yeah really stuck as to which elective to choose,

    I think i can eliminate auditing straight away,

    Not pushed on tax but can imagine Performance M being a SFMA * 10

    I'm doing performance M and its not really too much like SFMA. Theres very little calculation type stuff on it (the odd NPV and a few easy calculations). Most of the stuff on it is more waffle bullsh1tty type stuff, but then again that is pretty much what the entire FAE course is anyway! Its all pure waffle and nonsense.

    Performance M in my opinion is by far the most interesting, but I'm sure they will all be as hard as each other come the exam. It just depends on where your strengths and weaknesses are when making the choice.

    Yeah, it's definately not easy to decide which one to choose. I think i'll probably stay away from tax, auditing would bore me to tears, but would prob fancy my chances with that over tax.

    your comments about performance mgmt are giving me food for thought thou, as I too reckoned it would be like SFMA as well.

    ah, decisions decisions....................
