    okay was hoping to pick up a second hand road bike been on a borrowed bike for a while there seem to be very few second hand bikes around in my price range and consequently even less new bikes in that price range
    so its looking like the carrera virtuoso ( if i can get the bike to work thingy ) then thatl work out round 300...
    or has anyone ever heard or teman... i know very little about bike brands so these guys could be okay or terrible for all i know anyway details of bike attached

    I recon this would be a bit of a dud.... I dont know much about the frame but 12.5kg is very heavy for a road bike. I've also never heard of the brakes or wheels before which would be a bad sign. I think if you want something that will last more then one year and be relieble for training and racing (gears and breaks working when they're needed) your going to have to spend a bit more money. Entry level Giants and Treks are very good (Solid frame, trustworthy components and reletivly light) they come in around €800, there are also deals on chainreactioncycles.com and wiggle.co.uk around this time of year when they try to get rid of 2010 stock so you could pick up a nice cube, BeOne or focus for around €800.

    If your determined to not spend more then €300 go with the carrera virtuoso, it looks much better....

    thanks, if it looks too good to be true it probably is...
    if i had the 800 or even 600 id spend it just dont have it
