Another Keyboard Question

    Heya lads,

I'm going to start playing/learning the piano.
Unfortunately I don't have the space or cash for a piano at the moment, so I'm hoping a keyboard could act as a stop gap for the next few years, while I learn the ins and outs and before I commit to a piano.

    Is this a realistic option?

I know nothing about keyboards and I've no real interest in synth music or any bells and whistles. I'm just looking for something that is physically and lyrically as close to a piano as possible.

    Cheaper is naturally better.

    Can anyone recommend anything?

    Thanks in advance
    Dylan

    well,

you could start with a second hand stage piano....there is the yamaha p85 that is a good option, you could find it even for less than EUR 400....good qualiity sounds and the key are similar to the piano ones.

Maybe a Casio Privia PX 410R stage piano? It's a great piano and I've got one myself. It has good piano and organ sounds and it has everything you might need. It's not that complicated and you can get one for around €400 on adverts.ie

I would also recommend buying an electric piano. But if you can't afford one i would say buy a home keyboard with a sustain pedal.
