    Hi All,

A few weeks ago I did a 12KM run which was the furthest I have gone. I felt good but about 3 or 4 days later I went for a 14KM run and after the run the outer side of my right knee was sore. It pained me for 2 days after especially walking downstairs. I thought maybe it was due to the fact I did an extra 2KM instead of 1KM and I over did it. So about a week later I did a 10KM run which would be quite normal for me and it got sore again but this time it wasn't as bad and only lasted 1 day. I am training for the 16KM (10 Mile) run in the Phoenix park and I don't think I will be able to do it. I have done a bit of reading and I think it might be ITBS (Iliotibial Band Syndrome) but I am not sure until I go to a Physio. Just wondering is there anyone out there that has or had a similar problem and what they did to help it??
