    Hi all,

The inlaws satellite system is flaky in that every now and then you get no satellite signal even though when it works the signal stenght and quality is very high.
When it doesent work you get no signal, not locked,no network id,nothing.
I have brought down my own hd box and card and it happens on this also.

    Any ideas?

it can work perfect for a day or so and then bang again.
It is like he cable is loose but it is a quad and the other cable is also affected so it cannot/hope not that all cables are loose.

    regards,

    KMB

Dish needs a look at,could need to be realigned aswell as the lnb which could be faulty.Give the cables a once over just in case.Best to get a local installer to have a look at it,tend to be better than getting an expensive callout direct from Sky unless it's still under warranty-then callout is free.

something to check...I had an issue with trees in the garden next door

they had grown up to the point where they had started to interfere with the signal, especially on windy days...eventually they blocked out signal altogether and they needed to be gotten rid of
