US Gov't and the Stock Market

    Lads,
I like to play the stocks on the US markets, not a big-boy wall street tycoon, however, there's a lot of information out there that the little guy can use to make a few pounds.

For example, there's plenty of tools out there that show you what the big-boys are trying to buy, the price at which they are trying to buy, and the price at which they are trying to sell.

It's hard for the big-boys to hide their moves. It's these moves I have learned to spot and make a bit of dosh. Not enough to quit my day job, but enough to make it worth my while.

However, I am worried. Buying and selling of securities is, in the US, public knowledge. After a period of time, there has to be disclosure.

For about a year now, someone has been doing a lot of buying, often towards days end. This movement has trickled as of late. However, I nor anyone else, can figure out who is doing the buying.

That's the scary thing. Not who has that size a pocket-book, more so than who can keep such buying off of the RADAR.

Anyone else picking up on this?

I've noticed a little bit of this...
My best guess is it is daytraders covering short positions before close?

Excuse my ignorance but why is your thread title "US Gov't and the Stock Market"?

most likely govt , computer systems (especially over the summer). it will all come down eventually as this propping up is fake and short lived

If it were day traders, I would easily be able to look up who purchased the commodity. That's the problem, the buyer has been able to remain anonymous.

I have noticed this on US markets, not the Irish or EU, hence the title.

Also, most of this action has died down over this summer. The majority of this buying was after the crash - most of last year.

Why not just tell us your conspiracy theory about the "plunge protection team" and get this thread over with.

    BlackJack,
It's not DPL, not order books, nor is it confined to real time or micro trades.

Even months after the fact when I read the disclosures, they're still not there.

I am sure someone on the American stock shows: Mad Money, Fast Money, Kudlow... have picked up on this. I'll find a link and advise.

As for "plunge protection team," I never heard of that. I don't suppose they've been doing their job very well, given the last two years. :pac::pac::pac:

Thread should have been moved to paranormal activity
