Just finished watching the first season. In under two days. Really enjoyed it. Never had the time to watch it before and I generally hate watching shows with a weeks break in between shows. The cliffhangers must've killed you people who were watching it on TV!

    Now... Season 2...

    Will report as I'm watching

i've watched season 7 and 8 on the television. gotta admit the wait is excruciating not just between the advertisement breaks but also the week we have to endure to get to the next episode.

watched one, two, three, four and five on boxsets and enjoyed it more.

Boxsets are the way to go. Have all seasons 1-7 on DVD, eagerly waiting the 8th one. :)

On season 7 now, good stuff.
It does get a bit repetitive though.

We should have a drinking game for
    "Trust me"
    "Do your job"
    "Open a socket"
    "Let's torture this terrorist"

24 is awesome. Season 5 in particular.

    Season 2 done and dusted.

Much better than the first, well, the first 16 episodes or so anyway. Kinda lost interest after the nuke went off and it went into political espionage. That's not really my bag. Also, still haven't figured out if Sherry is a goodie or a baddie!

(I was hoping the sniper would take her out, or Jack would find her body in the tunnel ala his Mrs. at the end of the first season)

Nice way for Mason's character to bow out as well.

    Season 2: 7/10

Deducting points for the political thing, Kim's pointless wandering through the woods (actually didn't think Kim's story was that good at all) and Lynn's fall. Nothing happened to Mike? Nice end to the season, roll on three!

I know NOTHING at all about any...

    Yep, it's killing me ;)

To be honest I can never really understand why people would call 24 a repeatitive show. Granted the have used similar plots more than once, but for me a repeatitive show is one where, for example, each week an episode begins with a dead body being found, a team gathers evidence, questions a few suspects before finially catching the real killer at the end of the episode.

Agreed, Season 5 and the first four episodes of Season 6 were just awesome.
Sadly though (Season 6 Episodes 5-24
the writers had put Jack in really cool and interesting place. The whole "I don't know what I'm doing any more." Only for them to Chicken out and revert to the normal Jack. They really had an opportunity to make an intriguing Character plot. :(

I was flicking through the channels a few weeks ago and came across it on RTE 2 and now I'm hooked but like has been mentioned here already,it's a bitch waiting a week for the next episode :(
What exactly is a season on 24,is it one 24 hr day?
Also can anybody tell me which season is being shown on RTE 2 right now as I don't want to get the boxset if I'm already on Season3 if you know what I mean?
The one on at the moment is about the attempted assasination of the president?

RTE are currently showing season 8 again for some reason at the god forsaken hour of 1:40 a.m on Mondays or Tuesday's?
24 consists of 24 ~40mins episodes in a single season where each episode counts for one hour. Get the boxset iirc it was going pretty cheap in HMV recently for fathers day. Watching 24 seasons on DVD is really the only way to watch show.:p

    Thanks Malty :)
I Sky+ it so I don't really mind what time it's on but it's just my luck that they had to start showing the last season
I might stop watching it now and just get the Boxset ;)

    Your welcome,

Whenever you do get around to watching Season 5 I highly recommend making sure your entire day is free because this is one season you'll wish you could watch without any stops. It's almost 24 perfection and it's got hobbits!

    Season 5 is incredible!

Boxsets are the way to go,
£173 on amazon which is way overpriced but you might beat £100 elsewhere

Started the first season on a friend's recommendation a week or two ago. I'm racing through it, utterly hooked.

On season 5 now, onto the hour after
the car with the russian president and wife was attacked

Loving season 5 so far. The
way Day 5 began in particular
was unreal! Enjoyed the other seasons too.

Seasons one and five are the best IMO. Must look back at them. May start all over again soon.

I have been watching a few series in boxset form but am slowly reverting to weekly watching, I like the anticipation of the next episode, its tiring watching a full season.

Season 8 was a great ending.

And season 6 is disappointing, some good casting.

    When's the movie?
