Hi,I have an Ipod Classic 30gb (think it's 5th series but not too sure tbh). Anyhow it's switching on & everything, Iv reset the settings from the itunes software on my laptop...So as a result I lost all the songs...But Iv since gotten over that, & now when I plug in the ipod into the laptop it's not registering it with the itunes software, so I can't upload music...Anyonw any advice? I brought it into shop in city centre in Dub & they wanted to charge me 120e for a new hard-drive or so they said :) Thanks in advance

If I remember correctly from my own, you set the hold to on and then off and hold press and hold both the menu and play button simultaneously for about 8 seconds.

I have one and definately try to hold "Menu" and the centre button together forabout 10-15 seconds.

If none of this works, then there's a few apps that you can use to sync to your iPod.

Songbird, Media Monkey, SharePod, WinAmp............ these should all work for putting music on and taking it off, even until you find out how to fix your iPod!
