What would you spend it on?

For starters, I would design and build my dream home.
I would help my siblings erase all debt
I would help friends erase all debt.
Then..... maybe start a charity that would actually do some good without lining the pockets of those who run it for me....

And I would travel. A lot!

    What would you do?

I would wipe out world poverty, saving all the starving children. Then I would build little homes in the meadows for unwanted puppies, so they could roam free, be happy & have shelter & food.

Then I'd blow the rest on coke & hookers.

I'd completely lose the run of myself, i'd tell the boss to f*** off, then blow all the money within a year or two, then go grovelling back to the boss.

You would erase your debts - I would prefer to delete mine !

Pay off my debts and buy a new car would be the top two things.
Then buy a house, go on holiday, sort out my family.

Would obviously depend on how much i won.
Funny,i was just day dreaming about winning the lotto at the weekend! :)

Say.... the charity could include kittens!
A free kitten with every bag of groceries from the food pantry!
    (Maybe NOT a good idea...)

Depends on how much the jackpot was, but assuming €1.5 mil......

    Pay off the loans
Buy a decent car and jeep
    Do the roof conversion
Landscape the garden and buy a BIG shed
    Install a home recording studio
Give €50,000 each to family members
    Go on a world tour
    Buy a nice place abroad

I reckon that'd be about €700,000 give or take

Then live on the balance for life - €35,000 a year even if I didn't work (which I'd have to, coz I'd go mental otherwise).

assuming a big rollover or the euromillions.. a Harrier Jet! Only problem is once I bought it I probably wouldn't be able to afford fuel, let alone insurance on the provisional!

Interest on the unused balance makes that about 30 years, not to mention saving what I'd get for part-time working - say another €10,000 a year - tagged on.

So I reckon it'd get me close enough to 75, all-in........time to check out around then......

You'll still be posting on Boards when you're 90, Liam!

Though, by then, you'll also have the state pension, so that'll at least cover the broadband connection, supplies of Horlicks, a warm blanket & a bit of eco-coal (or whatever we'll be burning in the future). :p

If the jackpot was more than 5 million I'd be out the fcukin gap to a country that has nice weather for more than 2 months of the year like this dreary sh!thole.
Don't get me wrong this is the best place in the world when the suns shining but its a depressing kip for the other 8/9 months of the year.

I'd come back home for the summer (when there is one) & christmas. Otherwise my permanent home would be a villa in spain/south france with a pool, outdoor bar & rabbits. Thousands of rabbits just hoppin all over the place.
