Is it to late to report a sighting of a Slow Worm after 3 years?

Folks whilst hill-walking in The Burren 3 years ago, my husband spotted some movement in the grass and excitely exclaimed "look a the snake" . I just caught a glimpse of it before it disappeared into the grass, but I was aware that there were legless lizards in the Burren.

Recently I saw something on a notice board in Glendalough that one should report such sightings.

I'm just wondering if it is too late to report sighting? I have an exact location etc which may be of use to whoever studies these reptiles
