I have a 16 mth bullock with a growth - roughly the size of a two euro coin - on his naval... He is on a couple of acres with no direct access so i am chancing him for a few days.. It does not appear to be affecting him... has anyone seen similar???

Maybe it's a prod of a thorn. That could do it, especially a blackthorn.

We had a bullock once that had a straight stick about 18" long go up it's water pipe, near it's naval. He was cringing up when passing water. Amazed when the vet pulled it out.......I know, whats that got to do with your bullock. Just reminded me of it.

It would be best to get your vet to have a look at him. It is probably just a simple infection. Navel infections are common enough. Other than that, it could be a weakness in the muscle there - we had one like that last year. The vet had to do a small surgery on him. he dscribed it as being similar to a hernia in humans.
