Meeting Wrestlers is tough nowadays..

Ive noticed the demand for meeting the wrestlers at the hotel is massive nowadays. They even set up a barrier of sorts in the hotel, its a real pain in the arse too. I would prefer to just go to a meet and greet. The only problem with that is that it's poorly advertised and they always send crap people. Two years back i went to belfast and met them in the hotel no bother, but now its almost impossible!!

Another thing, has anyone actually met Matt or Jeff Hardy??? It seems rare over here!

Ahhh but the WWE loves their fans. Take Orton for example.

He loves nothing more than posing for a snap.

They had Dolph Ziggler in Smyths on Parnell Street a few months ago, I live near there but it was at 3pm on a friday and wasn't going to give up a half-day off work to meet him. Otherwise I would have made a Spirit Squad sign and asked him to sign it.

Who did they have in Tallaght, think it was Beth Phoenix. Last year was Alicia Fox and Santino.

I was lucky enough to meet Lita by coincidence really in 2001.

I think there is some wrestling reunion thing going on here soon, some old school guys like Million Dollar Man, Virgil, Mick Foley and others are coming to Ireland, so it's not impossible to meet wrestlers!

Just seen this thread by chance.

Last January UFC was in town, i was in the Airport on the Thurs morning picking up some friends from U.S when all the TNA guys arrived.

They were hanging round arrivals, i saw Mick Foley, Kurt Angle and had a smoke outside wit Matt Morgan (???)

Quite a few people were going up askin for auto's pics and they seemed fine about it.

I happened to be staying at the same hotel as the WWE stars back in April and got to meet a load of them, lots of pics and autographs too. Most of them were very nice and approachable and had no problems meeting the fans in the hotel.

I'd say if you were a wrestler as nice as you'd try to be, it must get old getting hounded at hotels, restaurants arenas, etc

Yeah they had Beth Phoenix advertised for the Tallaght meet and greet, so that's probably why not many people turned up.

I would defo had gone to meet Sheamus

It was in Manchester, the weekend of the Rebellion 2001 PPV. We were walking around Manchester city centre, a bit bored, so we decided to get a taxi over to Old Trafford to see if we could go on a stadium tour. There was no tour that day or something like that, but we still walked around the stadium area. When we got there we saw some WWE conference posters on some of the doors, and we thought this is a bit strange whats going on here. We hung around for a bit, and then we saw Lita and some guys in business suits walking towards a car. She was really nice, posing for pics with us, a few autographs, even though they men wanted her to leave quickly, she was very friendly with us.

And then we walked around the outside of the stadium a bit more, and we saw a group of people, looked like fans. We thought they must be waiting for Lita, so we went to tell them that she left already. But they said no, they were waiting for David Beckham, so we waited around and eventually we also got to get a quick pic and autograph.

We assumed that WWE and Manchester United had some publicity thing going on, but we never did find out what that was all about.

After that, we were just like what the hell just happened in the last 30 minutes?!

I remember that Old Trafford episode more than I remember the actual WWE event. All I can remember really is an Edge/Christian cage match, and Rock/Austin main event.

    You lucky duck!
(for lack of a better word. :P)

As cool as old Trafford is, that's a lot cooler :)

It's a sign of the times and maybe a good sign. It means fans are really interested in the wrestlers. Or it means that some smarks are too savvy and are able to find out where so and s'so and so is staying...

Surely he can't be too hard to find around Cabra or has he done a Colin Farrdller on us?
