There have been some great speeches down through the years after Provincial or All Ireland finals.

Joe Connolly in 1980 is the one that stands out for me:

What other memorable ones have there been?

Willie Ryan Munster final 2009 :D (Hugely embarrassing!)

Richie Stakelum '87 "The famine is over!.......And you aint seen nothing yet!"

Richie Stakelum wins, but I don't think it's on the internet. Then he lead the crowd in Slievenamon, brilliant stuff and the fact that he's an absolute legend adds to it as well.

I think Henry Shefflin showed what a exceptional sportsmen he is when he shared his big moment with Darragh and James McGarry in 2007 and the Kilkenny and Limerick fans both applauding and chating McGarry was an emotional moment for the crowd gathered beneath the Hoganstand.

Shefflin gave an exceptional speech in the follow up I thought. Think Shefflin is one of Ireland exceptional Sportsmen and a great role model for any aspiring young sports person.

Anthony Daly 1995, one that always stands out. Most speeches are forgettable though.

Two best speeches I've ever heard, Joe Connoly 1980 and Brian Dooher in 2005 when he dedicated it to Cormac, tear-jerking!

When Tipperary won the All Ireland in 2001. Good speech from the captain.

Sean Og's speech after the 2005 All Ireland Final. Excellent

We love our traditional music but we love or hurling even more :D

Dalo's speech in 95 does it for me everytime I have to say, that and the speech I gave after winning the primary school blitz but in fairness I was well versed "tá ana athás orm an corn seo a clacha done foireann iomachioct as Countae an Clair" when every every team was actually from Clare, but as my father rightly said at the time if I got an opportunity to say that not to pass it up cause I'd always regret it otherwise :D
