can you record 1 channel and watch another channel? i've go free sat aswell, so could i watch sky news whilst recording BBC1 on the free sat etc.... also could i programme it to record a programme eg. Match of the day, even though it might start at diferent times every week?

If your Freesat box has twin tuners it can, otherwise no. I have a Technomate 9600 Freesat that I got for that reason...sorry
