for those of us, waiting for apple to send the iphone

I ordered my iphone from apple on the 2nd of aug.
I know it said it will be here on the 25 aug, it’s so annoying, the wait is killing me.

The annoying thing is, by the time we get it will be out 2 months.....:(

Better late than never! Plus, there's a better chance that any problems will be ironed out etc...

Looking forward to getting mine next week at very latest.

i called apple on friday and got speaken to this really friendly american chap, he was saying that it may be shipped this wednesday

I hope he was right i'd love to get mine even monday. The wait really is ****. But I agree with the post above they will probably have all the problems solved so we get the "good" batch haha

i knew what i was getting into that it was a three week wait, but its the longest 3 weeks ever.

Apple are not going to fix the antenna issue in the current 4 line, it's a very simple fix that only requires a lick of non-conductive paint or material but if they fix it, everyone will return there iPhone - and with millions of units sold, that is not an option.

Oh I know they wont be fixing the Antenna problem. And to be honest I think it was blown outta proportion i've used one and used the "death grip" and it isnt so bad.

What I meant was i've heard of glitches with the touch screen and overheating handsets and things like that! I hope i'm not the unlucky one to get one of those models haha

Looks like he was right. I ordered minutes after online ordering started and my status changed to "Prepared for Shipment" today.

A little tip:
To get a slightly more detailed status, log into the US store, not the Irish (or UK) store. The Irish and UK stores don't give that information.

I wonder why that is. I thought maybe that the Irish Store would have more info on our purcheses. Not vice versa.
Irish store still reads Not Shipped but the US has changed to prepared.
