Putting Practice Area - Dublin?

I'm a member of a club down in Kildare but I live in Dublin city centre.

I would really like to do some putting practice mid week but it's too far to go to my club in evening traffic.

Where could I practice closer to Dublin city centre?

I was thinking maybe using the practice area of a golf club like Clontarf.

    Any other suggestions?

(practicing at home is not an option)

Clontarf or any other members club are not going to allow anyone use their practice facilities unless you have paid a greenfee

Bit further out than Clontarf, but if you're on the Northside, I used Deer Park in the past when I wasn't a member of a local club

Yeah I know, but lets say you could come to some arrangement with them, are there any other clubs that would be suitable?

The chipping and putting greens at Elmgreen are free to use by anyone. As F22 says, private clubs aren't going to let you anywhere near their practice facilities unless you pay a green fee. Members will be quick enough to chase you, particularly at a course like Clontarf.

Thanks, yeah I'm just looking for suitable places at the moment.

I don't think I'd get away with sneaking onto a clubs practice area without paying. I'm not the most inconspicuous with my chalkline :D

    That this place yeah?

Might pop up and check it out. That could be an option depending on how long it takes to get there in the evenings...
