Right, so ive been with my fiance for 5 years at this stage and i love him with all my heart. We dont really have any problems with our relationship bar one.

I cant have sex 95 percent of the time. Its either incredibly painful or his penis just wont go in. (apologies for the crass language but its the best way of describing it). its not that im not aroused or anything. i just cant have sex.

Ive been to the doctor and he seems to be too embarrassed to help me. Ive spoken to my counsellor about it but she wants to deal with other problems first.

Any ideas/solutions would be most appreciated. I hate not being able to do "it". its starting to ruin our relationship.

Change doctors. There is no way you should settle for a doctor who appears too embarrassed to deal with the issue you are attending for.

OP, have you heard of vaginismus? What you describe really sounds like it.

It is treatable and you can recover from it. If you need more info, let us know.

This rings serious alarm bells... Doctors should not be embarrassed!!!!!! Get a new doctor ASAP!

Good advice so far, but in the mean time and I know easier said than done but stressing usually makes a problem worse.
