Bank holiday entitlements

When working bank holidays in Ireland you are entitled to

    (a) a paid day off on that day,

    (b) a paid day off within a month of that day,

    (c) an additional day of annual leave,

    (d) an additional day's pay:

as set down in the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1997. The employer decides which of these to pay employees. That much I know. But my question is can an employer change the entitlement without asking anyone? For instance if you normally get (d) for working a bank holiday can an employer change it to (c) with no consultation with employees?

I don't see why not unless it was stipulated otherwise in your employment contract.
