It appears that offer is to join the gym in The Carlton Hotel (previously Days Hotel). So what's the story with the GMIT gym, anyone know? Went on to the Carlton's website, doesn't say anything about free weights... The 80 euro price tag seems reasonable at first but if the gym haven't got the right equipment then it's a waste of money.

Its a box room with a treadmill! I recon Kingfisher and GMIT should come up with some special GYM membership for GMIT students as what they call a GYM isnt a GYM. ha:D

A gym is for working out in, just because it doesn't have a sauna or swimming pool doesn't mean it's not a gym. It has everything one needs.

what sort of selection of dumbells do you need? chrome? titanium? maybe you want gold?

I was in there before and never saw anythign like that, just treadmills and a cycle machine. now that was when i started college. i only do bicep curls with 20 in each arm, and couldnt give flyign crap what type but think that was sarcasticly aimed. (Please not sarcasm is a supressed form of pent up aggression)
