    WH had to pay out 25-1 on punters who backed Blackpool to top the English Premier League at any point during the season!
    At 17:00 Saturday they were top, and although it only lasted 2 hours, that was enough. Blackpool are also their biggest liability now (£5m) and they have cut them from 10,000-1 to 2,000-1. Interestingly, their best result would be . . . . . Chelsea !
    The RacingPost pullout did tip Martin O'Neill to be first manager to go @16/1, but they didn't spot this particular bet!

    which surely would have been a void bet anyway. Any time I've seen these type of bets they have been "Season specials" and you have to pick what is 1st to happen during the season.....as o'neill left 5 days before the start of the season then it woudn't have counted

    Is it just me or was 25/1 a crap price for them to be top at any stage?

    Interestingly enough winning bets were paid out, not voided!
    Not good news if you have backed whoever happens to be out second, but they have redone the odds now, with Martinez favourite. Obviously not many were on (although the price went from 16's to 2's on the day) so the liabilities mustn't have been too bad.
    Should have added - Market is called "Next Premier Manager to leave" so its not really linked into the "season" per se.
