really want to get practicing my short game- especially in and around greens and putting etc..

Problem is I'm not a member of a club so dont have access to a chipping/putting green.

Is there an alternative to the crappy synthetic practice area in Leopardstown?!

For other non club members, where do you practice chipping/putting?

    Cheers

You don't have to a be a member of a club to use a practice green. It varies from club to club. As long as you respectful of the facilities and obey club rules I think you would be ok. As an alternative I used Deerpark a lot but that was because it was nearby. Is there an equivalent pay and play on the southside.

    Not this again!

You mention the word respectful, respectful is not setting foot on private property and using members facilities. In case you're wondering it would be frowned on by members of most clubs unless you were a paying greenfee.
