Flies on the beach

    I played golf in Youghal yesterday morning and noticed an unusual number of flies about. Not the usual blue-bottle type, but smaller ones that didn't move when shood.

    Later at the beach there were literally millions of them dead in the water. Somebody else said tha tthey saw the same thing in Garretstown the day before. Anybody knows what's happening or where they all came from all of a sudden?

    same down in wexford last week, prob hatching/ laying eggs as they were usually around washed up sea weed.

    tis the same in Garryvoe and I noticed it in Youghal aswell.. tis horrible
