Can no longer see Youtube clips embedded in boards posts

    Probable stupid question here.
    Just in the last few days when I go to boards.ie using IE8 I cannot see any Youtube clips that posters have embedded in their posts. I just see an empty box outlining where the clip should be and a little EDIT: icon representing a picture END EDIT in the top left corner. I can see embedded .jpgs or other pics.
    If I use Chrome then I see the clip as normal.
    Did I accidently change a setting in IE8? Any ideas? Thanks

    What about other sites with embedded youtube vids or flash vids?
    Youtube itself?
    Do you connect through work?

    You could try to go to Internet Options, Advanced tab and Reset settings.

    Turns out there was some kind of odd problem with the Flash installation. It seemed fine in the first link you gave but not in the second.
    I followed the Adobe trouble shooting guide fully but to no avail.
    Finally I uninstalled and re-installed Flash about 4 times and finally it worked !?!?
