    Hi,

I'm starting this course next month and I'm researching laptops at the moment. Does anyone have any advice? I'm looking for something that's suitable for the programming & data mining part of the course but that is also fairly light. I'm figuring an i5 cpu with 4GB RAM and about 350GB storage should do it, but narrowing it down to a model number is hard. I was thinking HP or Dell or Toshiba? We bought a laptop for home last year and we're having awful problems with it freezing, and with the keyboard not responding quickly enough - don't want to end up in the same boat with this one.

    Thanks :)
