Budget laptop advice

    Hi folks

I have been asked by my folks to get them a laptop - their needs are fairly basic just web-browsing, playing music, simple word /excel work, watching dvds etc. Integrated webcam would be handy aswell.

    Size - 13- 15in
Budget - around 500 euro max

    Just some questions
I see a lot of laptops have Windows 7 64 bit included - Does this matter given it is bundled in or should I avoid 64 bit in favour of 32bit?
Also I presume all online retailers will have the VAT also broken down on their invoices?

    Thanks for any suggestions

YOU CAN ALWAYS get single core cpu, centrino around 400 in harvey, norman ,did electric.or see here
    http://www.powercity.ie/?par=10-30 479euro
64 bit os,means you can add like 8gig ram, 32bit os=4gig ram max,
3 or 4gig is fine for webrowsing ,music, etc
unless theres a sale i see no point in buying from uk sites,as you have to pay sterling/euro charge ,and delivery charge.
get 15inch, laptop, i see no point in getting 13inch laptop unless you are a student carrying it around.check for webcam,be4 you buy it.i see no point in getting 64bit in your case.

Cheers. While you are correct in that I prob don't need 64bit the reason I was concerned was that a lot of the machines I looked at had windows 7 64bit bundled.

    Thanks again for the advice.
