Mailing list software that can specify POP/SMTP

    I'm looking for mailing list software that can work through a POP/SMTP email address. I'm using Google Apps for email and want to have the mailing list address be lists@mydomain.com

    Setting up mailman is not an option as I only have shared hosting. Any PHP solution that can do this?

    Most of the software based ones do that (as in not web based!). Can't think of any off the top of my head, but they are only a Google away! ;)

    I've googled, believe me!

    It occurred to me that web based is not viable for a discussion list without some mail access (and maybe cron for checking POP).
