iphone 3g update

    I updated my iphone today to 4.0.2 cause it wasn't working and since doing it I've lost loads of features like my wallpaper option for the home screen and battery percentage! it also wouldn't let me send texts so i did and restore and was able to send texts but still cant have a back ground or battery percentage! i cant figure out whats wrong with it? anybody know what it could be?:(

    ? No battery percentage on 3G. Do you mean 3GS?

    no its a 3g but i since 3.1.2 ( i think that was the one) i was able to get battery percentage when i went into settings and usage but thats gone wallpapers are gone for the home screen and a few other things are gone...and i cant figure out how to get them back!! only since updating it!

    Then, had you in fact jail broken it and have now relocked it? 3G does not allow either of these options.

    nope didnt have it jailbroken i was on 4.0 and it allowed it and i have another 3g in the house not jailbroken and i can do it.....

    I have my unlocked 3G and have never been able to have the battery percentage on it or have wallpaper. Can anyone advise?

    i looked it up and seems that it is if its only jailbroken...weird..i had it before with no jailbreak! is there a jailbreak out for 4.0.2? cuz i cant live without batterypercentage!

    No, it has never been available on the 3G without jailbreaking.

    it was before but since updating its gone and apprently u can only use it with a jailbreak! and i cant find a jailbreak for 4.0.2

    you can try a 4.01 downgrade, apple are still signing the old firmware afaik, they were 10 hours ago...
    but you'll need to hurry
    so download a copy of 4.01 for 3g from here

    open itunes, press shift and restore, and hopefully it'll let you install

    good idea to backup first

    then you can jailbreak and get your little functions back !
