    im just wondering if anyone can recommend a programme to convert my mp3s to play on my cheap stereo for work

    I presume you're trying to produce a normal music CD.

    If you have iTunes it can do it. Make a playlist of the songs you want and you can burn them onto a blank disc easily. Just make sure you select audio or music CD not Data CD.
