myself and the missus did a bit of county hopping the last few days. we were in kilarney nationl park to day, was on one of the jarvey carts when FOUR red stags came accross our path. they were fabulous looking beasts, 20 yards further on another two came out from the trees. was great to see them,

on a side note when we were coming into cork we were stuck in traffic and there was two rats playing on the road.

I hav NEVER seen a red deer in the flesh, Sika; could have touched one he was so close, tripped a trip flare lol

Fallow, in the wild the biggest herd near me has between 14-16 Normally see several smaller herds, bachelor stags and does and fawns

Never shot a Red either, It's on my To-Do list, but it is a very looooooooooog list!

Sorry bout yest and the Dub thing, I thought you were from Kildare!

So hard to keep tabs on everyone when everyone has a stage name!

I had a red doe in my crosshairs last year, but left it off to the fella beside me!:(

Will be venturing to the same land this year to try and get one! If you think dragging a fallow is hard work these things are huge!

My best stalk last year in Mayo I got 2 a hind and fawn. It was at the end of the season and the young one was bigger than a fully grown fallow buck.
You really have to drag them threw 2 k of bog to appreciate just how big thee are
