    Calling Corkonians

On holidays down here in Cork- staying in Blarney
Doing the Adidas 10m on Saturday.
I'm looking to do probably 8km, 5km and 5km, tomorrow, Wed and Thurs
However I'm looking for somewhere to run- preferably a nice flat track- preferably a park somewhere so i can run on the grass.
I saw a nice park beside the Carrigrohane straight road that has potential. Any suggestions out there? What's Fitzgeralds park like- what's the distance?

    Thanks

A good spot, at any time of day, is The Farm NB: Read the notes at the bottom wrt parking! The perimeter is approx. 2.35 miles (if you do the same loop as we normally do). Did 16 miles there this morning!

I saw a nice park beside the Carrigrohane straight road that has potential. Very rough surface off the paths - don't know anyone who runs there off path. In any case the loop in there is too small. Any suggestions out there? What's Fitzgeralds park like- what's the distance? Another non-runner - too small, too awkward, too many people (don't you just hate them! :D )

Another run you could do is the Lee road/ Carrigrohane circuit (all on road)

I reckon The Farm is ideal for you. No matter what time of day, there always seems to be someone running there!

    Yup sure is.

There's a short loop you can do on the Lee Fields (same start as mentioned by Condo131 for the Lee road/ Carrigrohane circuit) that goes through a little park that's normally very quite, see this Garmin track for details but basically you head out of town along the path by the river, at the end of the path go left to the road and continue out of town, take the next road going to the left, turn left at the top of this & enter the park (entrance on the left just before a short uphill stretch) and this takes you back to the start again. Repeat as needed!

Had a lovely leisurely jaunt around the Farm this morning
Met a few runners and dog walkers
    Cheers for the recommendation
