    If you have a good signal it makes little difference.

    If the connection is erratic it may give you a stable connection.

    Even if you have the best aerial, the speed can drop to 0.5Mbps or even 0.05Mbps and latency rise from 80ms to over 1000ms if only 3 or 4 people closer to mast watch YouTube. The speed quoted by Mobile operators is the Peak capacity, close to mast with only one user connecting. It has to be shared.
