    Hi everbody,

Two questions that I would like to ask.

1 Paddywagons: How many Gardaí can fit/are allowed to sit in the front of the van? (Que all the bad jokes)

    2. If a garda witnesses you take something out of your pocket and drop it in a ditch and you continue to walk on, I'm sure the garda would stop you, say something like 'I witnessed you drop something back there in the ditch, please come back with me so I find what you dropped'?

    Cheers folks.

I'd imagine they can only sit in seats. So if there are three seats in the front of the van, then three Gardaì?

And you could be fined for littering, anyway, so yes, the Garda indeed could stop you and make you show him what you dropped, and if it wasn't illegal, etc. they could tell you to bin it.

It depends on the type of personnel carrier. They all differ and it also depends on the purpose they are used for, normally they will fit 8 members, plus 4 in the cage if necessary.....but only if necessary.

IN regards the second question.....thats more of a statement......can you clarify what you want to know?

The first question is related to the normal run of the mill paddywagon.

As for the second question would it be unlikely for a garda to witness you drop something (into a ditch, trying to conceal it) and then they let you walk pass them without stopping you?

It is a rather vague scenario don't you think? Why would you put yourself in that situation to begin with? If you have "something" that you wish to dispose of, why wouldn't you dispose of it in the normal, legal way and not draw un-necessary attention to yourself. I would imagine that members would have bigger issues to be dealing with than trying to figure out someones' intentions in a scenario like this.

The old sense's are tingling, it could be just me but im getting the feeling the full story isnt being told (not that you need to)!!

Depends on what the something is, but if I know if i seen a person take something out of there pocket and dispose of it, i know my eyebrows would be raised well beyond my balding hair line (which would be my buttocks :P).....and the person would be in line for a nice wee chat about what he/she threw!!

Yes, I can't tell the full story I'm afraid.

Thanks for the response, don't worry about being bald, I'm sure there're plenty of women out there that love bald men. ;)

Besides, grass doesn't grow on a busy street.
