Great bargain as it normally goes for over €3. Seen in Jervis and Square SC.

Whats it like compared to others?

I normally get the tesco own brand one, and prefer it now to others. I think its the green wholenut one, its usual between €1.15-€1.39. They have a low fat one, and a smooth one for the same price but i prefer the wholenut one.

    Has to be a misprice...

It's probably the nicest peanut butter on the Irish market at the mo. to be honest and at that price I'll be stocking up. It's definitely the highest nut content at 97% and has no added sugar - both of these facts I read on one of those "Taste Challenge" things in some magazine or other a while back.

The Kelkin Crunchy Peanut Butter is also very nice but t never seems to be in stock..........

I don't know about the misprice but it's been like that for at least 2 weeks and I never seen any thread about this on the boards. It's also under a white label, not the yellow discount one.

Picked good few jars myself just in case, a year's supply :D

Really? Low fat nut butters? Nuts are mainly fats, they must add some crap to get the fat content down and keep it tasty.

But the whole earth peanut butter is delicious and reasonably healthy. Iingredients are peanuts, palm oil and 1% salt.

Trust me, it may be better for you than other peanut butter on the market but it's tasteless. Bought one last week and had to throw it out. Yuck

I use the Meridian brand from health food shop - ingredients are nuts with skin on, nothing else. at all.
    Very wholesome :)

I regulary buy this in Tescos, costs around €1.70 so sorry, not exactly a bargain alert (saving of 20 odd cent) original poster!

My bad. I'm sure I saw this for €3.50-ish before though, might have been in the health food store!

Superquinn sell a 227 g jar of Whole Earth Smooth Organic Peanut Butter for €2.99 while Tesco sell the 340 g jar for the same price. God knows what the price of the jar in the OP's post would cost in Superquinn!

Have paid well over Eur3.50 and as much as Eur 3.99 for this on many an occasion. It's £1.95 Sterling for the 340g (i.e. smaller jar!) in Sainburys in the UK!
