There are 6 of us hoping to head away 05-07 November 10.

Can anyone recommend any good hotels/b&bs?

Nothing very expensive - the cheaper the better.

One of the girls was talking about nottinghill but I suspect it is an expensive area and far from the centre?

    Thanks

    Hi Dellas1979,

I can highly recomment the Hilton Tower Bridge hotel. Stayed there in June and had a great time.

3 can sleep in a room and if you book far enough in advance you'd get it for about €110 per night. I know it sounds a lot but its so central you won''t be spending money on tubes etc to get everywhere.

Its right beside Tower Bridge and the south bank walk towards Houses of Parliament is fab and only takes about 15 mins....loads of lovely english bars to eat and drink in along the walk.

London Bridge train station is 500 m away and has great tube and train connections. Direct train to/from Gatwick takes 30 mins and only cost about £12, much cheaper than Stansted/Gatwick express.

London isn't cheap and most of the cheaper places are a good bit outside the city so you gonna end up spending extra money on transport so it may actually work out better value to stay closer to the city and walk everywhere.

Wherever you end up have a great time, London is a fab spot :)

    Smallone

Thank you for the suggestion. I have emailed them there but looking at the website it looks like its about 200 for a double room - how far in advance are you talking!!??

There is a London megathread but have a look at this link, rate is coming out at 126.50 per night, twin room max two in a room.

London hotel rooms per se tend to be quite small, so I would only be looking to have a max of two per room.

It's Guy Fawkes week-end, so some hotels may have upped their rates!

OP, can I highly recommend the Premier Inn! We stayed at Kensington (Olympia) recently and loved everything about it, but it works out fairly expensive for the weekend you are talking about. However, this one in Hampstead is cheaper and near a tube station so you have easy access to central London

There are very good reviews about it on the website, (which I always use as a bible for booking any holidays)!
