When you are doing business with a company do you take into account how well they treat their employees?

I was wondering because I recently got a summer job where the employer is great. They pay us for our breaks, pay us the 8.65 even if you were only 16. Another friend of mine got a job in a local shop, is 17 and wait for it they pay her 6.06 an hour! She never once got a break yet they dock her half an hours wages each day for breaks.... This place is renowned for exploiting employees, but quite alot of people just avoid it for that reason.

Another example is the local primary school got a grant to buy computers and asked me to give them a bit of advice. I was told that they would not buy a dell computer because of how they upped and left Ireland.

So do you avoid companies which don't treat their employees well?

I tend to give my business to companies who have the most downtrodded, underpaid & overworked staff. I like to feel that whoever gets wages paid from my purchases, has had to slave for it.

Yes - IF - upon genuine assessment and NOT quick to judge glances, I find that staff/workers are treated badly, I most definitely do avoid using such businesses.

Personally I don't look at the employees and try to see them grieving I just want the product.
