Vodafone PAYG. Top up with €20/month, gets me unlimited any-network texts, 100MB of data/day, and about 30 mins of calls.

The data is the 360 prepaid bundle, which is 39c/day or approximate. €12 a month, leaving €8 a month for calls.

is there any network carrier that provides the following:

    free unlimited any network texts
and a min of 2gb data plan?

I'm not too pushed on mins included, but the texts and data plan would be very important.

Im currently on o2 for the €20 per month unlimited any network texts on PAYG. I've never had a bill plan, so looking for options.

Yes, my post (the second reply) lists this. Unlimited any-network texts and 3GB/month (but you can't use more than 100MB/day) (based on 30 day month).

Cheers, but I'd prefere the ability to use more than just 100mb per day if I needed to.

    Surly there's some options available?

    3 gives you:

    350 units
    2 Gb data
Calls to UK landlines and mobiles out of your units
    Free access to Bitbuzz
The ability to use your units and data north of the border and in the UK as well as 6 other territories
100€ back in month 4 (more or less pays for your first 4 months)
    Unlimited 3-3 calls

    and so on.......for 30€ a month, 30-day rolling contract.

in addition, you get 333 webtexts which you can send from your device using Jelly or EirText, which will save you 166 units of your 350 per month, which you can use for other purposes.

I was just talking to someone who said that they got effectively charged for Meteor calls and texts on the non-Lite version of this contract, i.e., Meteor calls and texts were being taken out of her allowance. When she contacted Meteor, they said that they were only free when the calls and text allowances had been used up! By my definition that's not free meteor calls and texts. Is it the same on the Lite contract?

Oh, I'm on the original 3 Best of Both - €25 for 100 flexiunits which can be used as 1 flexiunit per minute of talktime or 1MB of data. Also, an additional 100 minutes for 3 calls. Texts are free to any network.

Not great, but I work in Derry, so it's a good deal when you're roaming as much as I am.

Best of both has been updated. On the 25 package you now get 200 flexi units unlimited 3 to 3 calls and unlimited any network texts. Call them and tell them you want to get moved onto that.

I get 350 flexi units, unlimited 3 to 3 calls, unlimited landline calls (or 150 mins to landlines and mobiles at weekends and evenings, cant remember which I picked) and 2GB data for €30 per month. Great deal IMO
