    Hello there,

Could somebody with experience please recommend some decent(quality over price) laminate to buy? I heard of Pergo and Formico, but they seem to be not being sold in Ireland.

    Thank you.

We put <SNIP> V groove down, It ticked all the boxes for us in terms of the colour we wanted, the texture we wanted, the width of the boards, the v groove. Then we looked at the price. €18/sqyd TAP. Absolute bargain if you ask me. Had about 30 extended family out last weekend and without fail they all asked what brand it was because they reckoned it looked fantastic. Carpenter 'cousin in law' said 'kudos', that we had picked a lovely quality laminate and were clever enough to go for laminate given our lifestyle. He said he was sick of seeing how clients lived, recommending laminate based on that and being told that no it absolutely must be solid and then getting calls back a couple of months later from the same people complaining that their floors were destroyed by the high heals and the dogs claws and the kids toys.

Mod Edit: No company names on thread, thank you. Please PM all recommendations.
