I get red sox notifications on the I phone 4 . I normally turn the phone off at night and they appear I'n the morn. I did that last night and they appeared when phone is off. Is it cause silent vibrate is on or am I missing something

When you say off, is it turned off, in airplane mode or in silent mode?

Unless your phone is completely off and you have a wifi connection you will get push.

I know I had the phone set to silent before I fell asleep lol unless it sent vibrate push alerts when set to silent and phone wasn't off. Surely I can't get push alerts when phone is off.

Jeez for a moment there I taught you had a device that could receive notifications when powered off .
I was willing to offer €100k for your phone .
A well Dragons Den will have to wait ;)
