I dont know if this is the right place.

I cant get onto the internet with IE, Mozilla, or Safari. Safari was working for a while but not now.

I tried downloading avi and it said couldn't because of a proxy. I tried avast and that didnt work either.

At the bottom is the computer icon with the little blue bubble showing.

    What's going on?

It sounds like you might be infected with malware - do you use any anti-virus/firewall software? If you don't, it's a good idea to install some. If you do, I would strongly suggest running a full system scan to make sure nothing nasty is on your system.

You can check whether you've got a proxy configured in Internet Explorer by going to Tools > Internet Options, then selecting the Connections tab and looking at LAN Settings. On a home connection, none of these options should be set.

On Firefox, go to Tools > Options > Advanced, select the Network tab and click "Settings" under Connection. If IE has a proxy set and Firefox is set to "Use system proxy" you'll have problems - choose "no proxy" instead.
