I need advice fellow boardsies! I've been going out with my bf for nearly 4 years (which is a very long time in my eyes since I'm 23!!) things are ok between us... have a feeling we're more friends than lovers (haven't slept together in months). I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place at the moment. A guy who I work with is in the same position with his gf as I am with my bf... there's definitely an attraction there between us but I don't know what to do. There's such a spark between us! We've never spoken about it face to face but I've heard through the grapevine that he really likes me... Any advice please? I'm cracking up just thinking about it :(

    Thanks, spudz22 :)

Why not try to get the spark back with your bf. Just go for a weekend away or buy sexy lingerie etc (there are a lot more/better/more exciting examples online if you google them) and see if that helps. If it doesnt just talk to him about it as all good relationships are based on trust and communication.

You really have to ask yourself what you want here. To try and make things work with your boyfriend. Or realise its sadly over.

What you are thinking about is hooking up with another guy. While your with someone else. Dont be like alot of people who are in relationships (albeit, relationships that lost their spark, but still in them) then go off with another.

No one here can tell you if you should try to re-energize your relationship or move onto someone else. Only you know that :) and thats what you have to ask yourself :)

the only thing you will get from people on here, and is 100% rightfully so, is that you shouldnt continue being in a unforfilling relationship while you flirt with a person you work with. Its chatting and flirting now, however that can quickly turn into a drink after work .... a kiss... sleeping together. Then you will become a cheater and a person who continued to be with someone when their heart wasnt in it (aka a user)

So op. It soul searching time :)

Wow! I see things alot clearer now after reading this! I don't know what I want but I now know what I need to do. I need to listen to my heart and not my stupid head! I think I've known this for sometime and have always known that this is probably the best way forward but to be honest, I was scared of what conclusion I'd come to. Thanks so much LighterGuy :) You've no idea how much that post has helped me out :)

Sort out things with your bf first, one way or the other, then (if you decide to end it with bf) let yourself think about other relationships. If you stay with bf then forget this other guy.... or any other guy.

Be warned though, a relationship with somebody at work can lead to very messy situations in the future.

    Be at peace,

    Z

    +1

    So, so true.

Yes, you have some tough decisions ahead but ultimately they must be made and sooner rather than later.

As Lighter Guy says, it's chatting and flirting now.....but one thing leads to another incredibly easily.

Four years is a long time and you guys have a lot of history together but at the end of the day, it's so much better to make a tough decision now than risk things ending badly further down the line

Good Luck - with whatever you decide.
    Bella

Don't just give up without trying to figure out what's lacking in your relationship. The same thing could happen with the next guy and cycle repeats itself. Relationships fall into ruts, but it's not worth throwing in the towel because you're not willing to work at it.
