You have been hired as a researcher to conduct a survey of NUIM Sociology students and their opinions of studying Sociology at NUIM. Identify the type of probability sample you would use. Describe how you would undertake this type of probability sample from your population. What type of survey design would you select and why? Give an example of one closed-ended question you would include in your questionnaire/interview schedule.

    How would i answer this?

I am stuck! Thought people in Maynooth might know: )

Page one of your course outline! Chapter 4 of your book (Schutt) on sampling. Remember to justify the use of probability sampling as opposed to non-probability (why is random sampling important for sample inference). Select a sampling procedure (simple random, systematic, stratified or cluster) and explain why it is best (for bonus points think of what stratifying variables or cluster units you might use). Seriously though, get out the book, there are only two chapters you need to read to answer this completely.
