Hi guys,I have a Mynute 20e boiler which is probably about 6-7 years old now,and has been serviced regularly, however we have had to replace various parts over the years in this boiler, tonight it started leaking water pretty heavily,we cannot see exactly where its coming from as its a sealed unit and dripping from the fittings under the boiler, can anyone recommend me a engineer to check and fix this,I'm in Dublin 7,
    Tia

This is more than likely the heat exchanger or hopefully the automatic air vent has started to pass inside the boiler. cant see what els it could be. Just to let you know, who ever has been servicing it for you has not been doing a good job. They go green before they burst and you should have been warned about this. I will PM you an engineers number. I'm too busy next week to help.

Thanks for reply,I'm curious what should go green as there is nothing really visible looking at the boiler except the bar pressure indicator, all the rest is hidden behind the panel?

The heat exchanger is inside the boiler and is exposed and cleaned (should be) during a service. It is made of copper and gradually turns green in places when corrosion kicks in. You wont notice it, that's why it should have been pointed out to you. They dont turn green over night and start leaking it's a gradual process. Dirty systems can accelerate it.
